Pop up a sweet-tasting ice cream treat with special sugar-coated ACT II® Microwave Popcorn. For extra flavor, sprinkle your favorite chopped nuts or granola on top of the ice cream mixture.
Makes: 1/2 gallon
Ingredients:
4 c. popped ACT II® Microwave Popcorn, Butter flavor (approx. 1 bag)
2/3 firmly packed dark-brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream, softened
2 tbsp. coffee-flavored liqueur, optional
Directions:
- In a large saucepan, stir together the first three ingredients until the butter and brown sugar are melted.
- Spread the mixture into a foil-lined 15- x 10-inch baking sheet.
- Bake at 400† F for 8 minutes, then cool 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, mix the softened ice cream with the coffee-flavored liqueur.
- Stir the cooled, candied popcorn mixture into the ice cream.
- Freeze until ready to serve.
